I’m Michelle Fetherston, an educator and data strategist passionate about helping people navigate the future of work. My career spans data analytics, product management, education, and communication, giving me a unique perspective on how technology—and now AI—is transforming career paths.

I have been fascinated by the world of careers and work since my first post-college job search, which eventually led me to pursue a PhD in Communication. My research focused on career information seeking and involved quantitative survey design and structural equation modeling, which turned out to be a helpful precursor to my data science and analytics work. I’ve published studies on topics such as career preparation self-efficacy, technology use in learning, and organizational socialization, and I’ve applied these insights in my corporate work experience as well.
